Job Description:

The intern will perform assigned duties under the direction of an experienced professional, and will work in a learning environment and gain knowledge and experience that will augment his/her college education.
  • Paid, hourly, full-time, 40 hours week
  • Temporary housing assistance may be available on a limited basis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior standing, currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above
  • Pursuing bachelor's degree in the primary functional area of the department
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to identify and solve problems
  • Strong computer proficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point, with the ability to efficiently learn new technologies
  • Familiar with web-based marketing concepts and tools
  • Excellent customer service acumen
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Previous work experience is a plus

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the department intern manager you will perform a variety of responsibilities as part of an ecommerce operations team, which delivers direct to consumer ecommerce products and services to students, that will include, but are not limited to: contributing to ongoing ecommerce related projects by conducting research on specific areas of ecommerce in the direct to consumer market. The intern will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the college ecommerce market, students’ buying behavior, and will be able to apply their knowledge and expertise in that market to the Direct to Consumer Operations business. Ultimately, a project presentation will be delivered to management for their input and review.

Computer skills: Microsoft Office; Internet proficient; Web 2.0 and strong knowledge of social networking sites and eCommerce marketing a plus

Educational requirement: pursuing a major in Marketing, eCommerce, Computer Science, or Business
