Job Description:
The intern will perform assigned duties under the direction of an experienced professional, and will work in a learning environment and gain knowledge and experience that will augment his/her college education.
- Paid, hourly, full-time, 40 hours week
- Temporary housing assistance may be available on a limited basis
Minimum Qualifications:
- Junior or senior standing, currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
- GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above
- Pursuing bachelor's degree in the primary functional area of the department
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to identify and solve problems
- Strong computer proficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point, with the ability to efficiently learn new technologies
- Excellent customer service acumen
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Previous work experience is a plus
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the department intern manager you will be a member on a team of individuals from cross-functional departments who are responsible for addressing business issues. The intern will be responsible for gathering data, analyzing trends and presenting information relevant to these business issues. The position will require building spreadsheet models and PowerPoint presentations in support of CFO activities. Other assignments may include store operations visits, support of loss prevention efforts and purchasing analysis.
Educational requirement: pursuing a major in Finance
