Job Description:

The intern will perform assigned duties under the direction of an experienced professional, and will work in a learning environment and gain knowledge and experience that will augment his/her college education.
  • Must complete pre-employment background check process

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Junior, senior or graduate student standing, currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above
  • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field of study
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to identify and solve problems
  • • Strong computer proficiencies in Internet Explorer, Web Navigation, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, with the ability to efficiently learn new technologies
  • Excellent customer service acumen
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Previous work experience is a plus

Job Summary:

Customers are one of our core values at Follett, and at FHEG we promote customer service excellence through the execution of secret shopper, associate rewards and recognition, and customer service training programs as well as the analysis of customer satisfaction surveys. These initiatives are managed by a team within the Human Resources Department.

Under the supervision of the department intern manager, you will perform a variety of responsibilities that will include, but are not limited to: assisting with the enhancement of Follett Higher Education Group’s secret shop program. You will conduct extensive interviews with Follett’s Group Vice Presidents regarding the type of information they seek from this program as well as how it should be best presented, and your findings will ideally be used to improve our online secret shop reporting website.
