Job Description:

The intern will perform assigned duties under the direction of an experienced professional, and will work in a learning environment and gain knowledge and experience that will augment his/her college education.
  • Paid, hourly, full-time, 40 hours week
  • Temporary housing assistance may be available on a limited basis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior standing, currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above
  • Pursuing bachelor's degree in the primary functional area of the department
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to identify and solve problems
  • Strong computer proficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point, with the ability to efficiently learn new technologies
  • Excellent customer service acumen
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Previous work experience is a plus

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the department intern manager, the intern will be assigned to conduct the Quarterly Customer Service Survey, Review CIGNA and Lumenos Audits, Coordinate LOA letters and LOA information, follow up on life event documentation, run full-time to part-time reports, receive training on Benefit Support Help Line and assist with River Grove Health Fair.

Educational requirement: Junior or Senior majoring in Human Resources, Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources or similar related major
