Job Description:

The intern will perform assigned duties under the direction of an experienced professional, and will work in a learning environment and gain knowledge and experience that will augment his/her college education.
  • Paid, hourly, full-time, 40 hours week
  • Must complete pre-employment background check process

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Senior or graduate student standing, currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above
  • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in the primary functional area of the department
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to identify and solve problems
  • Strong computer proficiencies in Adobe Acrobat, screen capture software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to efficiently learn new technologies
  • Knowledge of online software, e.g. Adobe RoboHelp and Madcap Flare, is a plus
  • Excellent customer service acumen
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Previous work experience is a plus

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the department intern manager you will perform a variety of responsibilities in the Information Technology Department (Quality Assurance and Documentation) that will include, but are not limited to: developing, writing, and editing material for online help, reports, manuals, product installation, operation and maintenance instruction booklets and related technical and administrative publication concerned with work methods and procedures. May observe production, developmental and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail. Will organize material and write assignments according to set standards of order, clarity, conciseness, style, terminology, and completeness

Educational requirement: pursuing a major in Technical Writing, English, Communication, or Computer Science
