Job Description:
The intern will perform assigned duties under the direction of an experienced professional, and will work in a learning environment and gain knowledge and experience that will augment his/her college education.
- Paid, hourly, full-time, 40 hours week
- Must complete pre-employment background check process
Minimum Qualifications:
- Junior or senior standing, currently enrolled at an accredited college or university GPA of 3.0/4.0 or abovePursuing bachelor's degree in the primary functional area of the department
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to identify and solve problems
- Strong computer proficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to efficiently learn new technologies
- Knowledge of Windows XP operating system, computer systems and/or hardware, and network connectivity
- Excellent customer service acumen
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Previous work experience is a plus
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the department intern manager you will perform a variety of responsibilities in Information Technology’s Product Support Center that will include, but are not limited to: logging calls received via phone, email, or in person in the service desk software (Touchpaper), resolving software/hardware issues and providing information that can be used to eliminate recurring problems and assisting in software and hardware deployment (PCs). Ad hoc projects may be assigned.
Educational requirement: pursuing a major in Computer Science
