Home Office Internship Program/IT – Java Developer Intern
May 19 – July 25, 2008 (10 week program)
Job Description:
The intern will perform assigned duties under the direction of an experienced professional, and will work in a learning environment and gain knowledge and experience that will augment his/her college education.- Paid, hourly, full-time, 40 hours week
Minimum Qualifications:
- Junior or Senior standing, currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
- GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above
- Pursuing bachelor's degree in the primary functional area of the department
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to identify and solve problems
- Programming ability in Java; knowledge of SQL is a plus
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Previous work experience is a plus
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the department intern manager you will work on tasks which will encompass analyzing, developing, modifying, documenting, testing, and debugging our software products. Will work with senior software and QA engineers in the design activities of software development including code reviews; test and debug software and will deliver to directing developer for system integration and testing; code and maintain software modules of moderate to large size and complexity working from both written and oral requirements and specification.Educational requirement: seeking a Java programmer currently enrolled in BSCS/BSCE/BSEE program
