Home Office Internship Program/IT – eCommerce Systems Administration

Job Description:
The intern will perform assigned duties under the direction of an experienced professional, and will work in a learning environment and gain knowledge and experience that will augment his/her college education.- Paid, hourly, full-time, 40 hours week
- Temporary housing assistance may be available on a limited basis
Minimum Qualifications:
- Junior or senior standing, currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
- GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above
- Pursuing bachelor's degree in the primary functional area of the department
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to identify and solve problems
- Strong computer proficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, with the ability to efficiently learn new technologies
- Experience with personal computer hardware, Linux operating system, and WebSphere
- Excellent customer service acumen
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Previous work experience is a plus
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the department intern manager you will perform a variety of responsibilities in Information Technology’s eCommerce organization that will include, but are not limited to: hardware maintenance, computer room physical reorganization, Linux operating system installations, WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Commerce Server installations, and general support for the development staff. This systems administration position may also afford some opportunity to work with the database and development staff.Educational requirement: pursuing a major in Computer Science; emphasis in Systems Administration preferred
