Job Description:

The intern will perform assigned duties under the direction of an experienced professional, and will work in a learning environment and gain knowledge and experience that will augment his/her college education.
  • Paid, hourly, full-time, 40 hours week
  • Temporary housing assistance may be available on a limited basis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Junior standing, currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above
  • Pursuing bachelor's degree in the primary functional area of the department
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to identify and solve problems
  • Strong computer proficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point, with the ability to efficiently learn new technologies
  • Excellent customer service acumen
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Previous work experience is a plus

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the department intern manager you will perform a variety of responsibilities in the Human Resources organization that will include, but are not limited to: reviewing and screening applicants for temporary and permanent positions, coordinating interview schedules, conducting new hire orientation, planning service award luncheons, participating in daily administrative tasks such as filing, and working with the HR Generalist on special projects.

Educational requirement: pursuing a major in Human Resources
